Three Arrested in DWI Detail Over Holiday Weekend

BEDFORD--On July 1 the New York State Police, Bedford PD and Westchester County PD conducted a DWI sobriety enforcement detail in Westchester County. The detail started at 9 p.m. on I-684 and The Saw Mill River Parkway and lasted for six hours. During that time the New York State Police arrested three people.

Cesar A Gonzales, of Brewster, was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired. He was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Bedford court. Henry T. Smith, of New Hartford, CT, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Istvan Sztaroszta, of Ossining, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

The State Police in Somers also conducted a seat belt enforcement detail in Bedford and Lewisboro on July 3. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. an Occupant Safety Enforcement Detail was located on the off ramps of I-684 in those towns. Police issued 47 tickets during this time, mostly for failure to wear a seat belt.
