OSSINING, N.Y. -- Carl Barrows a longtime resident of Ossining and former resident of Mt. Kisco, died on Nov. 24, 2013. He was 83.
Barrows was born in Mt. Kisco on Dec. 25, 1929 and was the son of the late Arthur and Astrid (Noren) Barrows.
He attended Mt. Kisco Schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Betty Sherwood on Oct. 3, 1954. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 36 in Mt. Kisco. He was a retired buyer with Readers Digest.
Carl is survived by his wife Betty (Sherwood); daughters Jan and Judy; and grandchildren Stephen and Robert Belcher and Karley Ryan.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Dorsey. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. t Trinity Episcopal Church, 7 South Highland Ave., Ossining. The interment will follow at Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations to Trinity Episcopal Church would be appreciated. Dorsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
