MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Domenico Pate, a former Mount Kisco resident, died Monday, Jan. 19, in his home. He was 84.
He was born in the small town of Belmonte in Calabria, Italy, on Oct. 8, 1930.
In his early 20s he moved to New York, where he built a life and raised his family. He frequently enjoyed fishing on Long Island and hunting in upstate New York.
He is survived by his wife Rosina Pate; his daughters Angela Ruggiero and Gina Pate; his grandchildren Valentina Ruggiero-Cardile, Daniella Ruggiero, Joseph Ruggiero, Lauren Trombetta and Gabrielle Trombetta; and his great-grandchildren Dominic Cardile and Jason Cardile.
Visitation was held at the Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home Inc., 288 E. Main St., Mount Kisco, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 2-4:30 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Entombment was held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
