Trotta was born April 25, 1941, in Bronx, New York, to Richard and Helen Trotta and was a longtime resident of Mt. Kisco. He graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua. He worked for the Mt. Kisco Post Office for more than 25 years, and later founded Trotta Contracting Company. He was a member of the Mount Kisco Mutual Volunteer Fire Department for more than 50 years. He served as the financial secretary for the past 12 years and briefly on the Board of Fire Commissioners.
Trotta is survived by his children, Christopher (Kim), Haylen (John); three grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara Ann, Rosemarie, Tommy, Robert, Patti, and Betsy. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard.
Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main St., Mt Kisco, NY 10549 and the funeral will service be held at the Presbyterian Church, Route 133, Mt. Kisco Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. Burial will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery on Lexington Ave., in Mt. Kisco.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Kisco Mutual Fire Department at 99 E. Main Street Mt. Kisco.
