He was born on Dec. 26, 1931, to John and Claire Alban in Queens.
He served in the Air Force from 1951-53. After his military service, he joined the U.S. Postal Service in Mount Kisco, where he worked for 31 years. He then worked for Weber Systems for 15 years and then five years as a school crossing guard.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of the American Legion Post 136.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three children, Pam (Rick) Woodward; Scott (Priscilla) Alban and Diane (Bob) Denman; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation is at Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 Main St. Mount Kisco on Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
