Louise Emily Burke Turns, 102, Longtime Mount Kisco Resident

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Louise Emily Burke Turns, a longtime resident of Mount Kisco, has died. She was 102.

Turns was born July 13, 1910, in Philadelphia to Carter and Edna Collins.

Turns is survived by her children, Alma Neumann, Robert Burke Jr., Donald Allen Burke, Dorothy Mae Paterson and Johanna Pope, Ali Turns and Eugenia Turns; and 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her husbands, Robert Burke Sr. and Herman Turns.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main St., Mount Kisco. The funeral will be Friday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis AME Zion Church, 3 Hillside Ave., Mount Kisco. Interment will be in Bedford Union, Bedford Hills. Repast to follow at St. Francis AME Zion Church.
