McHugh was born March 13, 1941, to John and Bridget (Cunningham) McNamara. She was a nurse and worked for many years at Northern Westchester Hospital.
McHugh is survived by her husband, Edward; children, Mary Tremarzo (Joseph), Christine, John, Ed (Isabel), and Claire McHugh; a sister, Kathleen Dennehy; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bridget; and brother, James McNamara.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac with interment to follow at 11:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Somers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of McHugh to the St. John's Food Pantry.
