Peter Tighe, Former Mount Kisco Resident, 78

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Peter George Tighe, a Mount Kisco resident, died on Tuesday. He was 78.

Born and raised in White Plains, Tighe was the eldest of five children born to Patrick and Julia Tighe. He graduated from Stepinac High School and Westchester Community College and in 1957 married Paulette Beaudry.

In 1967, he and his brothers, Patrick and John, established Tighe's North Pub, an Irish tavern in Katonah. Tighe and his family moved to northern Westchester in 1971.

Tighe was a member of the Elks Club, enjoyed playing golf, watching the N.Y. Mets and Giants, and spending time with family. 

Tighe is survived by his son, Michael, wife Lisa, and their two children, Kyra and Emma; his son John, daughter Julia, and her mother Sheila; and his daughter Jennifer and husband Rolf Munk. He is also survived by his sister Judy and brother John.

Tighe was predeceased by his sister Barbara and his brother Patrick.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cassidy Flynn Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mount Kisco. Burial to follow Mount Calvary Cemetery.
