MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Rocco Bueti, 83, of Mount Kisco, died Saturday.

Born in Solano, Reggio Calabria, Italy, to Francesca and Nicola Bueti on December 16, 1933, he was the third of five children.

Bueti and his brother migrated to the U.S. in 1954, when he was 20 years old and lived in Chappaqua, where he learned the building and construction trade while working with his cousins.

In 1968, he founded Carbut Building Corporation with Pasquale Carrozza and his younger brother Antonio Bueti. They built many custom homes in the Chappaqua and Mount Kisco area during a 25-year span; he retired in 1993.

Bueti met his wife Domenica (Minnie) at a cousin's wedding, where Domenica was the singer in the wedding band. They lived in North White Plains, before building a house in Mount Kisco. They were married for over 56 years and had four children.

He was also a founding member of the Solano Italian-American Social Club in the 1950's, where he enjoyed gathering with cousins and friends.

He is survived by his wife Domenica; four children--Nick (Jacqui) Bueti; Frances (Isidoro) Albanese; John (Christine) Bueti; and Rocco (Mireille) Bueti, Jr; ten grandchildren; siblings--Grace Oliveri, Antonio Bueti and Maria Bueti, and is predeceased by Serafino Bueti.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home Inc., 288 East Main St. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mount Kisco. Burial to follow St. Francis Cemetery.
