MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – Thomas J. Singleton, 85, of Mount Kisco, died Monday, Nov. 2.
Born in 1930 to Matthew and Margaret Singleton in Greenwich, Conn., he attended local Mount Kisco public and parochial schools, then the State University at Albany and Albany Law School. He also attended the University of Paris (Sorbonne) and University of Maryland for additional studies.
He practiced law in Mount Kisco for more than 55 years, originally with Salvato and Singleton, then Singleton and Singleton and finally with Singleton, Davis & Singleton, PLLC. Throughout his career, he was very active in veterans, civil rights and Irish causes and organizations.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Patricia; a daughter, Lauren Singleton Winston; a son and law partner, Whitney Singleton; six grandchildren; and a sister and a brother.
Visitors will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home Inc., 288 E. Main St., Mount Kisco. Burial will take place Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Mount Kisco.
