Fava was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Calabria, Italy, to Serafino and Grazia Bueti, moving to Chappaqua with her family and operating a day care center.
She was predeceased by her parents, five siblings and her son Rocco, and is survived by her husband Diego, son Serafino, two brothers, Dick Bueti of Pawling, and Sam Bueti of Chappaqua, two grandchildren, Richard Fava of Madison, Wis., and Kasey Fava of Boston, Martha Rossi McDermott of Katonah, extended family and numerous friends.
A wake will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home.
A Roman Catholic Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Church of St. John and St. Mary, 30 Poillon Drive, Chappaqua, followed by interment at St. Francis Cemetery in Mount Kisco.
