Mt. KISCO, N.Y. - Walter Edward Smith of Mt. Kisco died May 10. He was 92.

Smith was born March 18, 1921, in Bedford. He graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua. He served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945 on the USS Yorktown. He worked for the N.Y. Telephone Company from 1946 to 1983.

Smith is survived by his wife, Gertrude Hauser; siblings, George Smith, Amy Edwards, and William Smith; children, Edward Smith (Lorraine), Richard Smith (Judie), Pamela Brown (Thomas), and Kathleen Marchione (Peter); many nephews and nieces; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Calling hours are Monday, May 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home, Mt. Kisco. Burial will be Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 310 Lexington Ave., Mt. Kisco.
