$18,000 In BMW Parts Stolen From Lot In Mt. Kisco

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – More than $18,000 worth of BMW parts was reported stolen off of three cars being kept in a storage lot at 115 Kisco Ave., Mount Kisco police said.

The theft, reported by the lot's owner at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, most likely took place overnight on Friday, Aug. 3, police said.

Police said parts were taken from 2007, 2009 and 2011 BMWs. The owner of the lot said there are extra costs in damages to the cars, police said. The potential charges are third-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal mischief, both class D felonies, police said.

Parking Lot Dispute: A verbal dispute erupted when a New Castle woman, 53, accused a group of teenagers in a silver Volkswagen Beetle of almost hitting her grandmother and herself as the teens drove through the Target parking lot at 195 N. Bedford Road, police said. At 5:32 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, the woman called 911 to report the incident. The woman and her grandmother were pedestrians, she said. According to police, both parties had left when officers arrived.
