Angry Ex-Boyfriend, Indianapolis ID Fraud Top Mount Kisco Police Blotter

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - A Mount Kisco resident was the victim of a slighted ex-boyfriend that damaged her car in the village.

A Mount Kisco resident reported to police on Thursday, Sept. 7 that her car had been vandalized overnight by an unknown suspect.

Westchester County Police launched an investigation and during a review of video surveillance from the victim’s building, it was determined that the damage was apparently done by an ex-boyfriend of a relative. The case has since been turned over to detectives, who are investigating the incident.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police Department blotter from Sept. 3 through Sept. 8 include:

  • Westchester County Police were dispatched to a West Street residence on Wednesday, Sept. 6, where there were reports of smoke in the building. The Mount Kisco Fire Department was notified and responded, reporting that the smoke was coming from a faulty stove.
  • On Friday, Sept. 8, a Knowlton Avenue resident reported to police that someone had opened a fraudulent credit account in his name and used it to pay rent on an apartment in Indianapolis. Detectives are currently investigating the case.
