Bedford Cops: Woman Charged In Theft At Kohl's

BEDFORD, N.Y.— A woman was accused of trying to steal $342 worth of merchandise  - five bras, a bracelet and a Bulova watch - from Kohl’s department store on August 2, Bedford police said.

Bedford Police received a call from the 777 Bedford Road store at 5:35 p.m. after a loss prevention officer spotted a woman putting items in her bag and attempting to leave without paying, police said.

Etleva Berisha, 26, of Mount Kisco, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and released on $100 bail to return to the Town of Bedford Court on Aug. 16.

A couple's argument on Aug. 4 turned physical and resulted in one being taken to the hospital and one being arrested, according to Bedford Police.

After getting a call at 11:46 a.m., police arrived at 41 Rome Ave., to find a woman lying on the floor. Police reported that Alanna Rose Dolan, 25, had pulled her fiancee's hair and punched her in the face.

Police said the victim had also suffered a seizure, and she was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital. Police reported that they do not know if the seizure was caused by the physical fight. 

Dolan was arrested and charged with third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury, a misdemeanor, and was released on $500 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Bedford Court on Aug. 8.
