At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, members of the Mount Kisco Fire Department were dispatched to Laurel Drive, where there was a reported motor vehicle fire that had extended to the structure, which was undergoing renovations.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Alexander Dennett, first responders arrived at the scene within minutes, confirmed the fire and requested the Bedford Hill F.A.S. Team. Crews quickly cleared a previous residential alarm and made their way to Laurel Drive.

Dennett said that with the help of volunteers from Bedford Hills, crews were able to remove plywood from the windows and doors of the residence, which is under renovation, and the fire was under control approximately an hour after receiving the call. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
