Croton Man, 19, Struck, Killed By Train At Metro-North Station

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- John Intrieri, a 19-year-old Croton resident, was struck and killed by a train at the Croton-Harmon Train Station Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 3:45 p.m. and police finished their investigation a little after 7 p.m.,  according to Aaron Donovan, a spokesman for MTA.

Donovan said they do not know what caused the man to be on the tracks. Meredith Daniel, an MTA spokeswoman, said the investigation is ongoing, but no criminality was suspected.

Intrieri was a 2014 graduate of Croton Harmon High School
