MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Westchester County Police announced that an investigation is pending into a pair of Wednesday incidents involving attempts to lure girls in Mount Kisco.

"The first incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. on Langeland Drive when a teen-aged girl who was looking out the window of a home observed a car stop in front of the house," police stated. "The man waved at her and motioned for her to come outside. The girl did not do so and the car drove away. The incident was not immediately reported to police."

The second incident, police added, happened at 3:35 p.m., and involved an 11-year-old girl walking on Grove Street. A car pulled to a curb and a driver motioned the girl to approach him, police added, which she did not do.

"When she ignored him and kept walking, the vehicle followed slowly to stay abreast of her," police stated. "The girl then ran home and informed her mother, who reported the incident to county police."

The suspect descriptions in both incidents appear to be similar.

"In both incidents, the vehicle was described as a black or dark-colored four-door sedan," police stated. "The driver was described as an older white male, possibly with grey hair. In one of the incidents, the driver wore a black baseball cap."

Westchester County Police urge people with information that can be used for the investigations to call 914-864-7701.
