Mount Kisco Cops: Man's Room Burglarized Overnight

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.— Two hundred and fifty dollars in cash, two bottles of cologne and a man's gold hoop earring were taken from a Mount Kisco man's home overnight, according to Mount Kisco police.

The 20-year-old man told police he left his Main Street apartment for work on the night of July 28 and when he returned home in the morning, he noticed the items were missing from the apartment, police said.

He called police at 7:18 a.m. to report the suspected theft. 

The following items were also reported in the Mount Kisco Police Blotter:

  • DWI Arrest: A Mount Kisco officer spotted a 19-year-old Chappaqua man disobeying a one-way street sign July 28 in the South Moger Lot, according to police. After interviewing the driver around 10 p.m., the officer arrested him and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and disobeying a traffic control device, an infraction, police said. The man was released on his own recognizance to return to the Mount Kisco Justice Court Aug. 2. 
  • Harassment on the Maternity Ward: A Mount Kisco man, 27, reported his pregnant girlfriend, 33, was receiving threatening voicemail messages from her ex-boyfriend, 30, on her cell phone while she was admitted to Northern Westchester Hospital to give birth, police said. The man called in the report at 4:39 p.m July 29, and police are investigating the incident.
