Christopher J. Demauro, 30, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and DWAI/drugs, both felonies, said Trooper Melissa McMorris.

Troopers were dispatched to a drug overdose on Vails Lane in Somers. An investigation revealed that Demauro had sold the victim heroin on Tuesday, Dec. 20, McMorris said.

Demauro drove a 2013 Honda sedan back to the Vails Lane home on Dec. 21, 2016, for an unknown reason, and an investigation revealed that he was operating the vehicle while he was impaired by drugs, McMorris added.

Demauro was arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
