MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.-- An employee of the RadioShack kiosk in Target was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, on Wednesday, according to the Mount Kisco Police Department.
Police said the 24-year-old man from Putnam Valley did not make his nightly cash drop at the store, which is at 195 North Bedford Road, and kept $410 from the register.
He was arrested at 172 Preston Way at 1:10 p.m. and released on his own recognizance, police said. He is expected in Mount Kisco Justice Court on July 12.
The following items were also reported in the Mount Kisco Police blotter:
- The owner of Lexington Auto Center, 486 Lexington Ave., reported a suspected case of credit card fraud. Police said the owner came to station at 7:13 p.m., June 24, to report that a 66-year-old man had run up a cumulative bill of $968.15 on March 27 and March 31, and the bill had not been paid. The owner told police that he suspected that the man had used a credit card that was not his own, police said. The case is being investigate.
- A 48-year-old man from Goldens Bridge violated an order of protection filed against him by his ex-wife, a 50-year-old Mount Kisco woman, police said. According to a report made by the woman on June 25 at 4:34 p.m., he left her a profanity-laced voicemail and several text messages on her cell phone, police said. A report was taken at the woman's home, but she did not press charges, police said.
