Shoplifting Incident Tops Mount Kisco Police Blotter

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - A 57-year-old woman is facing a misdemeanor charge after being busted attempting to shoplift from Rite Aid in Mount Kisco.

County police were dispatched to Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue shortly before 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, after she allegedly left the store without paying for merchandise.

Upon further investigation, officers arrested Mount Kisco resident Marilyn Maldonado, who was processed and charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny. After being arraigned, Maldonado was released and is due back in Mount Kisco Justice Court on Thursday.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police Blotter from Tuesday, July 25 and Friday, July 28 include:

  • On Wednesday, July 26, a village resident reported to county police that he had lost his iPhone and an app was indicating it was located on East Main Street. Police responded to the location, and found a person who said that she had found it in a parking lot. The phone was returned to its owner, who police said did not want to pursue the matter further.
  • The following day, a Mount Kisco woman reported to police that she had been receiving abusive emails and text messages from her estranged husband. A report was made and police are investigating.
  • Police are also investigating a separate incident after a business owner reported that cash was missing from the premise. The investigation in ongoing.
