Members of the Bronxville Police Department were dispatched to Citibank on Pondfield Road shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, where 29-year-old White Plains resident Estebon Garcia was attempting to cash a fraudulent check.
When officers arrived at the scene, they arrested Garcia at the bank, and further investigation determined that he was also in possession of a fraudulent debit card and fraudulent Connecticut driver’s license.
Garcia was arrested by the officers and charged with three felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned in Bronxville Village Court and released on his own recognizance. Garcia is due back in court later this year to answer the charges.
