$15 Minimum Wage A 'Death Knell' To Businesses, Astorino Says

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino blasted Gov. Andrew Cuomo's initiative to raise the minimum wage in New York State, calling it a "death knell" to businesses on Monday, according to NY State of Politics.

Astorino, who ran against Cuomo for governor in 2014, said raising the minimum wage wouldn't be an issue if the state boasted a healthy economy, NY State of Politics reported.
