Castelli Endorsed By Business Group In Reelection Bid

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – State Assemblyman Robert Castelli (R, C – Goldens Bridge) has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business in his bid for re-election in the 93rd Assembly district race.

Castelli is seeking reelection this November when he faces off against Democratic challenger David Buchwald, a member of the White Plains Common Council.

“Bob Castelli has been a great advocate for small business in the Legislature and his voting record proves it,” said the group's New York State Director Mike Durant. “He has stood with small business to help enact two consecutive fiscally responsible budgets and continues to stress the need for Albany’s focus to remain on reducing the high cost of doing business. We look forward to continuing to work with the assemblyman to put New York on the path to economic revitalization.”

Castelli said he was honored to receive the endorsement.

“I have been an advocate for small businesses since taking office and recognize that they are the lifeblood of each community in New York,” he said. “I will continue to fight for their survival and prosperity, along with Gov. Cuomo, as we partner to revitalize business in the state.” Durant said that the group’s political support is based on the candidate’s position and record on small-business issues. Castelli’s endorsement comes from the NFIB/New York SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB/New York’s membership.

The 93rd District covers Pound Ridge, Lewisboro, North Salem, Bedford, Harrison, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle and parts of White Plains.
