With 99 percent of election districts reporting, the numbers show that Schleimer received 2,259 votes, while Farber received 2,270. Challenger Patric Kilkenny trails in a distant third with 1,120 votes.
The incumbents each ran on a Democratic Party ticket and also had the Independence Party ballot line. Kilkenny, who also made an unsuccessful write-in bid for mayor in 2013, ran as a Republican.
The seats come with two-year terms and are up for elections on even-numbered years. The other three seats on the overall village board, which incumbent the mayor's office and two trustee seats, also have two-year terms but have election cycles during odd-numbered years.
Results also show that incumbent Village Justice Mark Farrell, who also ran as a Democrat, is heading to re-election. With 99 percent of election districts reporting, Farrell, who ran unopposed, garnered 2,736 votes.
Meanwhile, unofficial results for four seats on the Mount Kisco Library Board, which were uncontested, show that C. Jane Pendergast received 1,129 votes; Perry Wootten garnered 1,071 votes; Dennis Gochuico received 1,064 votes; and Karine Patino received 1,101 votes. The numbers are with 99 percent of the election districts reporting.
The library trustees, who are elected on a non-partisan basis, oversee the Mount Kisco Public Library, can request budgetary funding from the Village Board of Trustees but cannot create a separate one, as the library is a municipal department.
