Yorktown native Dan Scavino lived in Hopewell Junction before relocating to the nation's capital after being named Trump's White House Director of Social Media.

"When the president took office, there was some question whether he would keep tweeting," host Chris Wallace said in the segment.

But Trump has not only been active since his inauguration on Twitter, often dictating posts to Scavino, but several of his tweets have sparked controversies but in the U.S. and abroad.

Trump has a total of 95 million followers on all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Scavino's Twitter following @danscavino, meanwhile, has grown to 365,000.

"He's been called the Hemingway of Twitter many times," Scavino told Wallace.

Scavino said getting Trump's message out unfiltered is his main objective.

"It is him speaking his mind as president of the United States of America," Scavino said.

Scavino acknowledged that most of Trump's weekend and early morning tweets are posted directly by the president.  Wallace asked Scavino if, as Trump has dictated tweets either during the campaign or now in the Oval Office, he's told the president, "Maybe not?"

"There's been times, but not too often," Scavino said. "I've always believed in being with the man from Day One, 'Let Trump be Trump.' "

Scavino, a former varsity football player, first met Trump when he worked as a caddy for him at Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor while a student at Yorktown High School.

Trump also owns Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in Stormville and the $19.5 million Seven Springs estate in Bedford. The Trump name also adorns Trump Tower At City Center in White Plains, Trump Plaza in New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences in Yorktown and the Donald J. Trump State Park on the Westchester/Putnam border.
