Celebrate Bastille Day At New Canaan's Roger Sherman Inn This Weekend

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan is hosting its ninth annual Bastille Day celebration this weekend.

Traditionally Bastille day is July 14, however the Roger Sherman Inn will keep the celebration going with a special event taking place Sunday July 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the lawn and terrace.

It wouldn't be Bastille Day celebration without a French menu, featuring favorite French classics such as Coquille St. Jacque, Escargot de Bourgogne, Le Steak Frites, Chicken Cordon Bleu plus many more culinary delights.

While dining, enjoy listening to performer Marie Michèle, a French singer and pianist, who will be playing an array of French classics. Enjoy a game of Pentanque on the lawn before, after, or even during dinner. Similar to bocce, Pentanque is a fun game of skill for any age. Pentanque will be available to play from 3 to 7 p.m.

Reservations are encouraged to secure a spot outdoors. For reservations, call 203-966-4541. The Roger Sherman Inn is located at 195 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan.
