“We are so excited to reveal this beautiful space to the entire community,” said Schools Superintendent Jere Hochman. “The Courtyard will enrich the lives of our students and faculty.”

The FAME Courtyard for Arts and Sciences, which was built on an unused courtyard at Fox Lane High School, will offer an outdoor classroom, performing arts space for concerts, theater and poetry slams, an art and sculpture gallery and a sensory garden.

Additionally, the Courtyard will be an extension of the Commons, providing an outdoor space for students to have lunch, do schoolwork, hold club meetings and relax with friends.

Many local organizations and individuals have played a key role in developing this project. The Courtyard was designed pro bono by John Imbiano of IQ Landscape Architects.

Bedford FAME has nurtured BCSD students’ educational experiences for more than 20 years. We are a volunteer group of parents, community members and faculty committed to funding meaningful initiatives beyond the scope of the school budget.
