At a ceremony Wednesday, 165 seniors at Horace Greeley High School were inducted into the Cum Laude Society Social Studies teacher, Mary Devane commended the students for their hard work, persistence, and desire to learn. She then asked the students to stand, look around, and thank their teachers, family, and community that helped them reach this accomplishment.
"Greeley students have passion, deep reservoirs of passion, waiting to be tapped," Devane said. “Passion combined with action will make our world a better place. This is the reason we are here today; you have tremendous potential, tremendous talent and now we want you to go make the world a better place.”
