The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the school board's meeting. It is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and will be in Fox Lane Middle School's Little Theatre.

The profile represents the end product of an earlier public-outreach campaign to fill the school district's top administrative post.

"This report represents information derived from focus groups and individual interviews with various school/community members and results of an on-line survey completed by members of the school community," the school district notes in its announcement. "The report will reflect information gleaned in response to three questions: 1) What are the strengths of the Bedford School District? 2) What are the greatest challenges facing the District? and 3) What are the characteristics community members would like to see in the next superintendent?"

The screening and interviewing of candidates for the job are expected to take place this month and in March, the district adds, with the school board getting a chance to meet with them between mid-Match and early April.

More information about the superintendent search is available on the school district's website.

The school district has been without a regular superintendent since Jere Hochman resigned in November to assume a post with the state education department. John Chambers, a veteran administrator, has been serving as interim superintendent.
