Westchester Schools Postpone SAT Exams Due To Inclement Weather

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Due to the expected inclement weather, the SAT exams scheduled to be hosted by five Westchester schools on Saturday, Jan. 24, have been postponed.

The exam that was scheduled to be given at White Plains, has been postponed to Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Highlands School in White Plains.

There have also been postponements for sites in Scarsdale, Dobbs Ferry, Peekskill and Yorktown. Peekskill and Scarsdale exams will also be made up on Saturday, Feb. 7, but the exam scheduled for Scarsdale will be at a site to be determined. Makeup dates for Dobbs Ferry and Yorktown have not yet been determined.

Yorktown also announced it will be closed Saturday, January 24 due to expected inclement weather.  All curricular and extracurricular activities, including athletics, are cancelled.

Yorktown also announced all Central School District school buildings will be closed Saturday and both YHS Dance Company performances scheduled for Saturday have been rescheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25.  All tickets from Saturday's 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. performances will be honored at the same times on Sunday.  Friday's performance will still take place as planned and will be filmed.
