BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Can't decide if you should pack lunch for you children to take to school?
The Bedford Central School District said it believes its children need a delicious and nutritious meal in order to learn, so meals are prepared fresh and with all natural ingredients each day.
Here's a look at what's for lunch this week in Bedford Central School District's Elementary Schools:
Tuesday - Baked ziti or fresh green salad, whole grain rolls and fresh fruit salad
Alternate Option : Chicken Caesar salad ($2)
Wednesday - Hot Italian Panini or ham, salami, and cheese, green & yellow squash, fresh orange
Alternate Option: Chicken salad ($2)
Thursday - Nachos with seasoned beef, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and salsa or brown rice and lentils, fresh apples
Alternate Option : Tuna salad ($2)
Friday - Pizzeria pizza or fresh garden salad, pineapple slices
Alternate Option: chef salad ($2)
Each day, an alternate lunch is available for those who do not wish to eat the main entree available that day. Students have the option to select the main entree or a bagel lunch that consists of a bagel with cheese or yogurt. The following sandwiches are available daily: ham, tuna, turkey, cheese, and peanut butter & jelly.
