Briarcliff Diver Dominates County Championships

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The second half of the first day of the 87th Annual Westchester County Swimming Association "Counties" Championships on Monday featured another dominating performance.

Just as diver Carolina Sculti dominated the girls ages 10-13 group, Alec De Caprio was far in front of boys group in the same age range. De Caprio, from the Briarcliff Manor Club, finished nearly a full 57 points ahead of the second-place finisher, Michael Ackert of the Rye Golf Club.

De Caprio registered a 217.35 while Ackert accumulated 160.40 points.

Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester hosts the 2012 championships, which end Tuesday.

Here are the top eight finishers in the boys 10-13 group:

7. Jack Dente, Larchmont Yacht Club, 116.30
8. John Koster, Chappaqua Swim and Tennis Association, 114.55
