BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Fox Lane graduate Mike Mathews completed seven of 15 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns, leading Hartwick to a 55-14 thumping of host Husson in a college football game Saturday.
Mathews’ three touchdown passes included a 60-yarder to Frankie Molina in the first quarter giving Hartwick a 7-0 lead. In the second quarter, Mathews, a Pound Ridge resident, connected with Tanner Williams on a 12-yard touchdown and on Hartwick’s following drive, Mathews and Shaun Eichner collaborated on a 25-yard scoring strike.
