MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Reaction was mixed among Mount Kisco residents after hearing NBA star LeBron James plans to return next year to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he started his career in the 2003-2004 season.

Mount Kisco resident Chris Anton called it the "best decision."

South Salem resident Alec Farrell likened James' stint away to a kid going off to college. Farrell also said the nation won't hate him as much, a reference to the controversy over remarks at his 2010 press conference about his switch to the Heat.

In a Sports Illustrated piece published Friday, NBA star LeBron James announced that he was returning to Cleveland , where he played previously for the Cavaliers before switching to the Miami Heat in 2010.

In the piece, James (which was told to Lee Jenkins), explained the decision.

"When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission. I was seeking championships, and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling. Our city hasn’t had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what’s most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio."
