Saw Mill Club Announces Changes To Its Swimming Program

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Saw Mill Club East will be making changes to its swim team program. 

Saw Mill Club has announced Chris Jankowski as the new head coach of its swim team.

The club has announced that it will be changing the team's name to Saw Mill Club Storm Aquatics, beginning in May. 

Also, the club has added Chris Jankowski as the new head coach and Laura Polhill as a coach. 

Jankowski comes to Saw Mill Club from the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester Marlins, where he has been the head senior age group coach for 12 years. He is also a master trainer at Saw Mill East. 

Polhill has been coaching USA Swimming for 16 years and has coached at Ridgefield Aquatic Club for the past four years and for 12 years with the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester Marlins. 

The swim team also has new additions to its programming including: 

-- Regularly scheduled under- and above-water filming and stroke analysis for 10 and over swimmers.

-- A revamped, cutting-edge dry-land program that aims to be the strongest and most competitive in the metropolitan area. Including agility and speed training, weight training, yoga, flexibility, injury prevention and spinning.

-- An annual senior team training trip to Florida in December.

Saw Mill Club is hosting a kickoff celebration in honor of the changes on Friday, May 9, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at its Mount Kisco location. The celebration will include giveaways, raffles, food and more. 

Saw Mill Club East is located at 333 North Bedford Road, Mount Kisco.
