Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Lane Closures Scheduled

 Motorists planning on traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant next week may see delays as contracting crews performing maintenance work in the area will close multiple lanes.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that double lane closures are expected on the Parkway between the Sprain Brook Parkway split and Route 117 in Mount Pleasant beginning on Monday, Nov. 6 and extending through Thursday, Nov. 6.

Lake closures are expected between 9:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, while the southbound will see closures on Wednesday and Thursday. The double lane closure is expected to be lifted by 2 p.m. each day.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, if possible and to expect delays. There will be posted detours and signage in the area to assist drivers.
