Locali Pizza Bar + Kitchen, 31 Forest St., is set to open in mid-November, according to the owners of its sister restaurant, Village Social Kitchen + Bar in Mount Kisco.

Locali will be a new concept for the Village Social family, featuring a handcrafted Stefano Ferrera Neopolitam wood-burning oven to create gourmet pizzas, while also featuring Mediterranean small plates.

“The sense of community in New Canaan felt similar to that of Mount Kisco,” said owner Joe Bueti in a prepared statement.

Bueti and co-owner Anthony Legato said they wanted to bring a specific, niche food concept to the neighborhood to distinguish themselves as “not just another pizza joint” Legato said in the statement.

The crisp, light and airy Neapolitan-style pizzas will be prepared with fresh locally sourced ingredients and feature creative culinary twists, the owners said

“The motivation behind the new restaurant concept was not to, reinvent the proverbial wheel but instead to recraft a classic,” Bueti said in the statement.

A combination of traditional and eclectic small plates will complement the pizzas on the menu.

Neopolitan-style pizzas will range from $11 to $18 and small plates will range from $5 to $18.
