MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Lara Heimann, owner of YogaStream studio, and Ohra Yoga is presenting "Anatomy Junkies" Part 1, a yoga workshop that explores functional anatomy in yoga practice, deepening your understanding of the body and biomechanics of movement, at Saw Mill Club.

There will be three classes from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17. Classes on Friday and Saturday are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The program will be instructed by Heimann, owner of YogaStream studio in Princeton, N.J., and directs the 200-hour YA-certified teacher training school.

The program will build off the foundation of the metaphysical seat of the body, the pelvis and discover the importance of alignment and anatomical awareness in the area. The shoulder girdle is both similar and different than the pelvic girdle; learn about their relationship to change and enhance your practice and teaching.

Each day will include a 2-3 hour practice and interactive lessons in:

  • Anatomy
  • Asanas, including both fundamental and advanced asanas
  • Art of Adjustments
  • Intelligent Sequencing

The price of the workshop is $425. For attendees who are taking the workshop as part of Ohra’s Advanced Teacher Training, the fee is $365.
