MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. —A Latin/ballroom dance party, Mount Kisco's annual sidewalk sales event and a family nature hike are among the events happening around Mount Kisco this weekend.

Friday, Sept. 7

"Fun Raiser" Mixed Latin and Ballroom Dance Party: 7 p.m. DJ Antonio will be mixing the best of Latin, hustle, swing and ballroom. Eighty to 100 dancers are expected, so dress to impress. Saturday, Sept. 8

Mount Kisco Sidewalk Sales Days: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Stop by the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce's annual Sidewalk Sales Days for a day of family fun. Enjoy carnival rides, musical entertainment, interactive demonstrations, a dancing and singing contest for cash prizes, an art show hosted by the Mount Kisco Library Foundation, on-site Pet Adoptions by Pets Alive, food and great sales with more than 150 tables from local merchants. First Annual Sales Days Talent Contest: 1 p.m. The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sales Days committee encourages performers of all ages to come show off their skills in singing, dancing, acting, comedy and more at the first annual Mount Kisco Sidewalk Sales Days talent show. Opening Night Celebration: Bernstein in Black and White: 8 p.m. To celebrate the opening of Copland House's concert season, pianists John Musto and Copland House artistic director Michael Boriskin will play two-piano versions of songs from Leonard Bernstein's musicals "West Side Story," "Candide" and "Wonderful Town." Sunday, Sept. 9

Friends and Family Nature Hike: 2 p. m. Bring family and friends along on this nature hike to enjoy the sights and sounds of Westmoreland’s forest in early fall. Suggested donation for non-members is $5 per person. Sign up by Friday. Westmoreland Sanctuary, 250 Chestnut Ridge Road, Mount Kisco.
