BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Darsie Alexander has a big new job.
Alexander, the Executive Director of the Katonah Museum Of Art was named Chief Curator at the Jewish Museum. She will start in spring 2018.
During her time in Katonah, Alexander focused on advancing the artistic program with new artists’ commissions and exhibitions.
“The Katonah Museum of Art is a better institution in every way thanks to Darsie’s leadership for the past three and a half years,” says Deborah Mullin, president of the Board of Trustees said. “Our audience has benefited from Darsie's creative curatorial sensibility, and the Museum itself operates more smoothly, effectively, and purposefully than ever before. We will miss Darsie’s infectious enthusiasm, and wish her well on her career journey.”
A search for her replacement will begin immediately, the Katonah Museum said.
