MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco native and Fox Lane High School alumna Elizabeth Benway graduated magna cum laude from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University on May 15.
She received the Legacy Award in recognition for her contributions to the university community related to her work promoting inclusiveness and risk management programs for Greek Life and the campus as a whole.
The award honors individuals for their contributions to the school, the profession of nursing, and the community at large in the spirit of Frances Payne Bolton, health care advocate, philanthropist, congresswoman, and namesake of the school of nursing.
During her tenure as president of Spectrum, a student government recognized-recognized LGBTQQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and allied) student group at Case Western Reserve University, Benway provided an environment where persons can socialize, learn, and grow.
