- A new Chop’t Creative Salad Company restaurant is under construction at 53 South Moger Ave. in Mount Kisco with an expected opening in September . Nick Marsh, Chop’t’s chief executive officer grew up in Larchmont and started the company in 2001. A building permit was issued July 9. The interior will be demolished and rebuilt. The site was previously home to Victoria’s Secret, which closed in summer 2011 after Hurricane Irene.
- Author and Chappaqua resident Suna Senman will kick off a tour to promote her new book, "Peace: Discovering Life’s Harmony Through Relationships," at 7 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Khader Center in Mount Kisco. Senman will lead a discussion about her book and "manifesting inner peace," according to a news release. The presentation will also include a guided meditation led by yoga instructor Joe Somodi.
- Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" debuted at Westmoreland Sanctuary over the weekend. The 60-minute, family-friendly adaptation concludes with a 1 p.m. performance Sunday.
