By 1901 when Fred Cregier was appointed Chief of Police he made $18 per month or $216 a year.
Nearly 50 years later, in 1950, the Chiefs salary was $4,560 a year, according to the Mt. Kisco Police Departments website. During this time patrolmen earned $3,700 annually.
In 1962 the Chiefs annual salary raised a considerable amount again, this time reaching $7,870.
According to the website SeeThroughNY.com , which compiles salary information for New York State employees, the current Mt. Kisco Police Chief, Steven Anderson, earned $113,775 in 2010.
