MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Northern Westchester Hospital celebrated the opening of six new operating rooms and a 14-bay recovery unit Friday evening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the suite and a reception.

The celebration included remarks from the following: Joel Seligman, President and CEO of NWH; Nancy Karch, Chair of NWH’s Board of Trustees; and Marshal Peris, MD, Co-Chair of the NWH 2025 Physician Campaign and NWH Medical Staff President.

Additional attendees included Mount Kisco Mayor Michael Cindrich, New York State Sen. Terrence Murphy, and New York State Assemblyman David Buchwald.

The new surgical suite will further accommodate NWH’s state-of-the-art technology, will transform post-operative patient rooms to provide greater privacy, and will increase space for family members and caregivers. NWH now has the newest operating rooms in the region.

All six new operating rooms were named after donors who supported the fundraising campaign. The ribbon cutting was led by the following contributors: David Miller, MD; Dawn Tinger, spouse of Al Tinger, MD; the Children of Geraldine and Joseph La Motta; Seema Boesky; Peggy Collins, MD; and Nancy Karch.
