Palmer, whose service for the village has totaled about two decades in various capacities, was presented with a plaque at the Village Board of Trustees' June 16 meeting, which was his last.

Then, on June 20, he was honored with a lunch outside Village Hall, attended by village officials and board members.

Mayor Michael Cindrich mentioned that the event was organized by village staff and referred to the occasion as a sign that he was going to be missed.

Addressing the crowd at the lunch, Palmer called them “terrific.”

Palmer left Mount Kisco to become village administrator for Bronxville. He has been succeeded, on an interim basis, by former New Castle Town Administrator Gennaro Faiella. The trustees approved Faiella’s appointment at their June 16 meeting.
