Westchester County Police intervention was required outside a CVS in Mount Kisco, when a father and daughter engaged in a heated argument.

Officers were dispatched to CVS on South Bedford Road shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, where there was a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers determined that a woman was arguing with her father, though the incident was only verbal in nature.

Police said that the two got into the verbal exchange after the father continually insisted on being taken to a bank, which his daughter insisted was closed. Officers were about to diffuse the situation and cleared up the scene without further incident.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police blotter from Monday, Aug. 20 through Sunday, Aug. 26 include:

  • Westchester County Police officers were dispatched to Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue on Friday, Aug. 24, when a customer picked up a case of beer and proceeded to run out of the store. Officers canvassed the area, but were unable to track down the suspect.
  • Several summonses were issued to a business on South Moger Avenue, when an officer found it was illegally selling alcohol without a New York State license. The violations were issued under the state’s Alcohol Beverage Control laws and the owner is due in court next month.
  • On Aug. 23, a family received a scare when their 2-year-old son got locked in a car on Carpenter Avenue, which was still running. By the time officers arrived at the scene to offer an assist, police said that the owner was able to collect a spare set of keys, and got into the vehicle.
  • Officers were dispatched to a store on North Moger on Monday, Aug. 20, where there was a report of an unruly customer who refused to leave the premises. Upon the officers’ arrival, police said that the customer quickly agreed to leave without further incident.
