Rye Brook-Port Chester Art Show Marks 2nd Year

RYE BROOK, N.Y. — For the second year in a row, art took over Crawford Park as the Rye Brook-Port Chester Art Show showcased local artists.

Event organizer Brigitte Loritz said she helped run the Byram River Arts Fest with the Port Chester Arts Council, but that merged with Port Chester Day and the fine arts were not included as much as she would have liked. Loritz said she wanted to bring a festival specific to the fine arts back.

"We moved inside this year because of the weather forecast and people seem more happy indoors," Loritz said. "It provides a really wonderful atmosphere, like a gallery, and I think we are going to keep it indoors."
