Duo Pulled Gun, Knife On Wildwoods Boardwalk Store Employees: Police
A man and a teen were accused of threatening employees at a store on the Wildwoods Boardwalk with a gun and a knife, authorities said. Nicholas Green, 23, of Cape May Court House, was arrested on Tuesday, May 21, the Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Friday, May 24. Speeding Pennsylvania Driver, 29, Charged Crash That Killed NJ Grandmother
A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection with a fatal high-speed crash in South Jersey, authorities said. Theresa Karbach, 69, of Cherry Hill, died as a result of injuries from the crash in Lawnside on May 13 at about 9:30 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. Anwar Parham, 29, of North Wales, PA, was charged with death by auto, driving with a suspended license and assault by auto, MacAulay said. Vineland's Bernadette DiDomenico-Bentz, Owned Hair Salon, 55
Bernadette I. DiDomenico-Bentz died at home on Thursday, May 16, according to an obituary published by Pancoast Funeral Home. She was 55 years old. Bernadette graduated in 1987 from Vineland High School, her obituary said. She owned her own salon, the Hair Hut, for many years, her obit said. Bernadette loved knitting and crocheting scarves and blankets for her family. She also enjoyed gardening, painting and making wreaths. A dolphin died during rescue efforts after it was stuck in a Cape May County creek for more than a week, according to marine biologists. In a Facebook post, The Marine Mammal Stranding Center said the bottlenose dolphin died in Cape May Court House on Friday, May 24. A Newark man was convicted of robbing someone who won $20,000 at an Atlantic City casino, authorities said. A jury found 51-year-old Robert Reed guilty on Monday, May 20 of second-degree robbery, third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree theft by unlawful taking, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. New Jersey was rattled by a small earthquake on Friday morning, May 24, the USGS reports. It happened at 3:50 a.m. in Tewksbury, approximately 6 kilometers southwest of Gladstone, the USGS says.
